Bearsden

Our site includes formal gardens and woodland situated on a Roman Fort, which was built in 142 AD as one of the stations on the Antonine wall. We are opposite the remains of a Roman Bath House. Explore our grounds and signage to find out about its history. Our Roman Soldier woodcarving ‘Maximus’ keeps watch over the lower lawn.

Community groups, families and individuals enjoy the space, tranquillity and beauty of our gardens.

Visitor information

The gardens and woodland are situated to the rear of the church building. In the upper woodland you will find the Granary Garden on the lower lawn there are 3 wooden benches with a good view of Maximus.
Throughout the year we run Slow Down Breathe and Refresh, silence and contemplation sessions using our outdoor space.
