Description: St Peter's Quiet Garden is a community garden open to everyone. The Quiet Garden was inspired by The Rev. Sue Calveley and her husband Alex, and work began to create the garden on Easter Monday 2006. The garden is fully enclosed with many areas to sit, a labyrinth to walk if you wish, a comfortable, welcoming but private Prayer Hut, a living willow/rose arch, a fallen cross at the heart of the garden, a sensory area and many other beautiful features.
Garden Opening Times: ( Winter) Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 4pm, Sunday 10.30am to 3pm (Summer) Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 5pm, Sunday 10.30am to 3pm.
This Quiet Garden is also a member of the National Garden Scheme and will be hosting 2 open days on Sunday 28th May 2017 and Sunday 18th June 2017, from 11am to 5pm. In 2016 the NGS raised record donations of 3.6 million pounds for caring and nursing charities and we feel very proud to be taking part in this most worthy charity.
