St Stephens

St Stepehn’s used to stand in a pine plantation and was called “The Little Church in the Woods.”

The gardens surround the Chapel and the larger church built later

Visitor information

Quiet Days begin at 9:10 in the thatched Garden Chapel after a said Eucharist, which Quiet Gardeners are welcome to attend.
After a short time of input by the facilitator for the day, people are free to get a cup of tea or coffee and wander in the beautiful gardened areas surrounding the Chapel and the Main Church, or to use the Chapel itself, the Main Church or quiet spaces in the adjoining buildings, if the weather is inclement.
We reconvene in the Garden Chapel at about 11:15 for a time of voluntary sharing and blessing. We are very blessed to have this beautiful, safe space to share in silence and birdsong with God, ourselves and each other.

Opening times

Quiet Garden mornings are held at St Stephen's Anglican Church in Pinelands, Cape Town, on the third Saturday of the month.
The garden is open all year.
