The Quaker Quiet Garden in Disley
Garden Type: Place Of Worship
Description: The Meeting House, a Grade II Listed Building, is at the end of a short but steep lane in Disley. It is surrounded by the garden. There is a large sloping lawn with a heather bed at its foot, with shrubs and a few fruit trees providing interest through the year. A small wood and fields adjoin one of the boundaries, the Church and its graveyard another. A stream runs through the garden. There is a wild area. The garden is loved and cared for by members of the Meeting, with help for the grass cutting.
We are opening twice this year on Wednesday 18th May, from 10.30 to 2.30, and on Friday 2nd September, from 10.30 to 2.30.
