Virtual Quiet Gardens #1

Over the weeks ahead we are going to be sharing Quiet Gardens virtually. It may be prayers or poems, photographs or short video tours, soundscapes or audio reflections. Offering a glimpse and taste of what we cannot share physically.
We’ll posting these from our social media accounts and will put the highlights together in an email every week or so. We know that there are lots of creative responses online at the moment, and we don’t want to overload you, so please stay tuned in the most life giving ways for you:

Virtual Quiet Garden highlights from this week…
Quiet Times – a Poem by Georgina Melling
Find yourself a quiet place:
We forgo the pleasure
Of holding ourselves still
Of savouring the moment
We forgo the pleasures still
Why do we deprive ourselves?
Find yourself a still space:
We have the urge to employ
The minutes, the hours
With endless motion
Creating commotion.
Where are we going?
Find yourself an open space:
We live at a pace
Where we can’t find a space
To pause and reflect
To grow in ourselves.
What is the purpose of our being here?
Find the time to breathe the air.
Find the time to gaze your eyes.
Find the time to open your heart.
Find the time to reveal your soul.
