Breathing Space – Allesley Village, Coventry, West Midlands

From the second half of 2023, Lois and Peter plan to spend some time in New Zealand (for several years) in order to be with Lois’ family. So the trustees of Breathing Space Coventry are wanting to meet and talk with any individual or couple who might be interested in taking this opportunity to be more involved in Breathing Space as resident hosts, helping to develop the ministry for the people of Coventry and perhaps for exploring and developing their own calling.

This is not a paid position, but an opportunity to be an integral part of the Breathing Space vision.

You could be sensing a change is on the horizon, wondering what is next for you, or even exploring a retirement option; you would need your own source of income, and most importantly you will have experience of the practices of spiritual accompaniment, retreat, and creative spirituality.

The Organisation

Breathing Space Coventry was founded as a charitable organisation in 2017. Its purposes are to advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in Coventry and the surrounding areas, in particular but not exclusively through the holding of day retreats, and by providing opportunities for growth in contemplative prayer for those wishing to worship and/or explore the Christian faith.

Breathing Space Coventry is a property open to anyone, individuals or small groups looking for a quiet haven, a few hours of retreat, or simply solitude and a sacred space for prayer. We are ecumenical, inclusive and open to all faiths and none, while keeping true to the life and ministry of Jesus.

There is no charge for visitors to Breathing Space Coventry; we rely on donations to cover the running costs and utilities. The property in Allesley is made available to the charity at no cost.

Please pray to discern if this invitation is for you. We would welcome having a chat or an email enquiry to breathingspacecoventry@gmail.com ( website address https://www.breathingspacecoventry.org/ )
