Regional Gathering at St Columbas By The Castle, Edinburgh
3 October @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm
This day is open to everyone, and in particular aimed at those involved in Quiet Gardens in Scotland and Northern England, and those with an interest in green spirituality.
Theme: Sharing – our experience of Quiet Gardens
- quiet reflection
- creation-centred worship
- the story of the Geddes family gardens in The Old Town
- what nature shares with us
Please note , there will be a guided walk around the Old Town gardens in the afternoon and that Edinburgh is a cold and hilly city! Participants are welcome to stay in the building for a creative activity if a walk does not suit them.
Location: St.Columba’s-by-the-Castle Scottish Episcopal Church, 14, Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2PW (Important! Not to be confused with the Free Church at the top of the road. Look for our blue door)
There is a lift down to the Hall and garden if needed.
Tea and coffee and buns will be provided as people arrive. Please bring a packed lunch. Food outlets available nearby if wanted.
It would be helpful if participants could bring photos of their Quiet Garden or others they have visited, or even sketched out proposals.
