Quiet Garden Mindfulness Day
17 September, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Mindfulness practice is hugely popular – but what does it offer Quiet Gardens? How might it help us when we spend time in a garden and lead quiet days?
Join the Quiet Garden Movement for a day exploring the practice of mindfulness and Christian spirituality with Rev Tim Stead and Matt Freer in the wonderful gardens and grounds of Waltham Place.
Rev Tim Stead is an accredited mindfulness teacher and Anglican priest, and author of ‘Mindfulness And Christian Spirituality – Making space for God’, published by SPCK.
Matt Freer is the Projects Manager for the Quiet Garden Movement.
Waltham Place is an affiliated Quiet Garden with ornamental gardens, woodland, parkland, and kitchen gardens, all set within a 220 acre organic and biodynamic farm.
The day will offer teaching on mindfulness techniques, with plenty of opportunities to practice and reflect on mindfulness in the grounds of Waltham Place.
Tickets include tea/coffee during the day and a delicious healthy organic soup and salad lunch – fresh from Waltham Place Farm.
