DESCRIPTION:The Bield has been a member of the Quiet Garden Movement for 20 years\, one of more than 250. \nQuiet Gardens across the world . We nurture access to outdoor spaces for prayer\, reflection and creativity. We are blessed to have a wide variety of such spaces at the Bield. This year we will highlight the Quiet Garden Movement with seasonal programme days and will donate part of the income to the Quiet Garden Organisation. \nEach Quiet day will begin with hot drinks and a tour round our delightful walled garden. Our garden team\, Pamela Grossi and Jillian Gibson will help you discover the gifts and surprises of the season. They will also be available later to answer any questions you may have about gardening. \nThere will be a time of guided meditation and reflection to consider how the Season speaks to our spirits .  For those who wish this will be followed by a period of silence before lunch\, time to further explore the garden and its impact on you. \nLunch consists of an attractive variety of salads and potatoes or soup with as much Blackruthven produce as possible. \nIn the afternoon you will have the opportunity to work creatively with what the season offers.  Alternatively\, you can spend this time exploring the riches of the art space or enjoy discovering more of the Bield gardens. \nWe will finish the day with a time of prayer in the Chapel and a hot drink with home-baking \n\n\nFacilitator:\n\n\nOur gardening team Pamela Grossi and Jillian Gibson and Marianne Anker-Petersen \nFor further information and to download a leaflet please click here

DESCRIPTION:Jag inbjuder dig som känner en längtan efter att vara i stillhet och bön tillsammans med andra.\nRetreatens gåva är att i en avskild miljö\, i tyst gemenskap med andra\, få tid att tänka och be\,för att få komma ifatt sig själv och lyssna in Gud.\nI den tid vi lever\, är det så mycket som kallar på vår uppmärksamhet så det kan vara svårt att urskilja vad vi djupast vill och ha tid att anförtro det åt Gud.\nDet är då en stilla dag kan göra oss så gott. Vi inleder med introduktion\, fm-fika och morgonbön kl 9.30.\nDå får du också med dig en bibelmeditation eller ”andlig övning”som du kan använda dig av under dagen. Därefter har du egen tid då du kan välja att t.ex\n➢ vara i trädgården\, kanske sitta i lusthuset eller annan plats om vädret är lämpligt.\n➢ ta en promenad i omgivningarna vid Säveån.\n➢ söka upp en plats inne för att be\, meditera eller läsa. DESCRIPTION:We meet at 10.00 for a welcome and a reading and then enter into silence.\nRest there. You may simply reflect and watch the wildlife or you may paint\, draw\, write\, read or pray. You are free to move around and explore the church and churchyard and to make a drink whenever you wish. We regroup briefly at 11.45. People may stay to eat their packed lunches together. There is a kitchen and a toilet.\nThe Quiet Garden Trust values Hospitality\, Contemplation\, Nature Connection and Creativity and we extend that to you of any faith or no faith. \nCome with me by yourself to a quiet place and get some rest. Focus on observing\, listening and being attentive.\n\nQuiet Mornings  are led by a team of volunteers who guide participants through a series of simple exercises\, providing opportunities for quiet reflection\, and time to share.  Time is set aside to walk the labyrinth and the morning closes with 15 minutes silence. \nRefreshments are provided.
