Garden Description:

The Labyrinth is is an area of about one acre of planted willow with a pathway of approximately 1.5 km. It's not a maze so you can't get lost, and as a prayer walk you journey to the centre and back out on different paths. We have leaflets which suggest subjects to contemplate on the way in and the way out at 11 secluded areas. The willow is usually coppiced every winter and grows to about 8 ft in a year. This means that the feel of the labyrinth changes with the seasons adding texture to the experience around the year.
The Labyrinth is open at all times, though in the Winter it can be flooded, so inaccessible. Once you are familiar with the Labyrinth you are free to come at any time. It may be helpful to arrange a firs visit when we are available to show you around. Contact Philip or Rosemary Mader-Grayson - details below
Over the weekend of the second Friday of each month we have a regular gathering at the house, so folk are almost guaranteed to be around those weekends.
There is no charge for visiting the Labyrinth, but donations for the upkeep are most appreciated.
