Garden Description:
PLOT 22 is a place to be with the land and community. It is a community of volunteers with an allotment garden on the Weald Allotments, Hove. We provide communal gardening, outdoor cooking and crafting opportunities for local residents, families and groups experiencing additional challenges. This helps build friendships, reduce isolation and deepen our relationship with the natural world. For everyone who contributes it offers a place of shared belonging and endeavour. People find it therapeutic, many call it a haven. We’ve been operating as a community project since October 2010 and a charity since January 2016.
Our Quiet Garden sessions offer the opportunity for quiet reflection in the outdoors. Somewhere to enjoy the restorative peace of the garden away from the busyness of your normal day. During a session you may want to read, draw or just sit and enjoy getting close to the wonders of nature.
Booking is essential: if you’d like to attend a Quiet Garden session please email us at
and we will connect you with Charlotte, our Quiet Garden session host.
"We live in a world where we are swamped by methods of communication and yet we
find ourselves unable to communicate. Silence is the missing and vital
ingredient. Even as little as 5 minutes can be restorative and healing.”
Paul Roderick, founder Quiet Garden Movement.

“Beyond the detail, it’s unlikely that anything I have to say about my experience of a Quiet Garden session will be unique, because I feel confident I am discovering a growing movement of people already in the know. Quiet Gardens are restorative, refreshing, and good for the soul. And this is exactly what I experienced at PLOT 22.” Read the full review at https://static1.squarespace.com/static/54b29edee4b0a4c43d38c001/t/5baf9c4bb208fc046cb7a78c/1538235467991/Quiet_Garden_Reflection-Summer_2018.pdf
