Garden Description:

Marian Dunlop House in Dorchester is the headquarters for The Fellowship of Meditation. The enclosed walled garden is situated at the rear of the house, accessed by a level gravel pathway. It is divided into two areas: a patio area with seating that overlooks a lawned area, accessed by a pathway leading to a lawn with our ‘Words of Life’ sculpture from natural slate embedded as a central feature of this area. It symbolises the Fellowships testimonies of Beauty; Freedom; Goodness; Grace; Health; Holiness; Joy; Knowledge; Life; Wisdom; Truth; Substance; Strength; Righteousness; Principle; Power; Light; Peace and Love.

The garden is surrounded by mixed herbaceous borders containing rose bushes, perennials, annuals and other interesting artwork. The summerhouse (seating nine people) is situated in the corner of this lawned area although there is also other outdoor seating available.

Quiet Garden afternoons

There will be two Quiet garden afternoons in 2021

They will take place on Monday July 12 and Saturday August 7 2021 both starting at 2.30pm until 4.30pm.

Some thoughts for reflection will be offered at 3pm and again at 4pm for a few minutes.

Otherwise our aim is to enjoy some stillness in this lovely garden.

You are free to come and go as you wish and we plan to offer you some refreshments (Government CV19 restrictions allowing...)

There is some parking at the front of the venue.
