“And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed” (Genesis 2:8).
“There was a garden in the place where Jesus was crucified, and in the garden there was a new tomb in which . . . they laid Jesus. Early on the first day of the week . . . Mary Magdalene came to the tomb. . . . Supposing Jesus to be the gardener, she said . . 'Tell me where you have laid him' . . . He said to her ‘Mary!’.” (John 19:41 & John 20:1,15,16)
“I am in love with this world. I have nestled lovingly in it. I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings”. John Burroughs (1837-1921 American conservationist and author).
