Each Quiet Garden is unique and responds to local needs and circumstances, and the different types of garden open in different ways, however, when it comes to safety, insurance and safeguarding there are some important issues to be aware of and consider.
We have developed the following guidelines for all Quiet Gardens to help Hosts and their support teams ensure they have adequate insurance and have taken necessary safety precautions, as well as being aware of safeguarding best practice. The guidelines include checklists that should be reviewed annually, as well as templates of notices and policies for you to use – please take time to read this information carefully and share it with your support team.
These guidelines reflect policies on insurance, safeguarding and data privacy that The Quiet Garden Trust as a charity has adopted. However, please note that due to the geographically diverse nature and local ownership of Quiet Gardens the responsibility for safety and insurance cover for each Quiet Garden are held by the individual Quiet Garden and are the responsibility of the Host.
