The Quiet Garden Movement has this week featured on Radio 4! ‘Beyond Belief’, is a half hour weekly programme which ‘explores the place and nature of faith in today’s world’, and this week’s edition was called ‘The Gift of the Garden’, exploring the value of gardens through the lens of different faiths. Rev Lucy Winkett is interviewed; she was recently in the news as her church, St. James’ Piccadilly won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show with their garden ‘Imagine the World to be Different’. Rev Winkett is a Patron of the QG Movement. Also interviewed is Jill Smith, one of the trustees of the Q G Movement. Jill speaks movingly of how her garden became a place of healing for her at a very difficult time in her life. If you have a spare half hour I’d recommend taking a listen.
