Arboyne House is set in one of the Black and White Herefordshire villages. Whether you visit for a few hours, a day, stay for a night or two, or come for a holiday or retreat, we hope you will find space to rest and reflect, and leave refreshed. The 1/5 acre garden at Arboyne House has paths to wander and quiet corners ( beside the small pond, under the magnolia or sycamore tree, or enjoying the sunny garden room in The Old Piggery). From the picnic table at the end of the garden there are unspoilt views across meadows to Hay Bluff and The Black Mountains. Our garden is full of flowers, fruit and habitats to attract wildlife and celebrate the seasons.
Visitor information
We welcome guests who wish to have a time of contemplation, sharing with God alone. We also offer a listening ear and opportunity to pray with us. We can provide contemplative materials and personal or small group retreats. Guests are welcome to use Arboyne Studio - a place set aside for creativity; there is also an indoor, all year round quiet garden room.
Hosts, Mike and Sue Hawthorne have spent 15 years overseas in mission and ministry. Now settled back in England, Arboyne House and garden reflect their heart to offer hospitality: www.arboyneministries.co.uk. They have facilities for up to 12 as day guests and up to 10 staying in their accommodation.
