Blue Pig Studio and Quiet Garden
Private home in Isle of Lewis - Scotland
The garden has been developed completely from scratch, beginning back in 2005 when the art studio was built. It has gradually evolved to fill out into a secluded green space filled with scent and colour.

The Artist’s garden was created during lockdown on the site of a car park. Old fish boxes have been filled with Alliums, Violas and Hebe along with a small willow and some roses, this space is much admired from the roadside and causes many folk to drop by. Further afield the space that originally housed our Gloucester old Spot Pigs has now matured into a woodland garden with , Rowans, fennel, Mint, Heuchera towering above a sunken path. The Labyrinth cut into the meadow is used by several groups regularly. In Spring this area is dominated by Daffodils and Camassia to be followed later in the year by Buttercups, Orchids and Ragged Robin. The whole space is a haven for bird life. Our donkeys, Hector and Milly graze in an adjacent paddock alongside Foxy and Tim the two horses. A recent addition to the space, bringing much amusement with their character and antics are a tribe of 12 Runner Ducks. Our space is a haven and people are very very welcome to come and visit and just pause for a few moments. A cup of tea is always on
