Transformed in 2014/15 from a previously derelict area behind the church, with invaluable support from the wonderful BEES charity, our small Community Garden now links the original front garden to a wheelchair accessible area with raised beds, where members of the community can grow vegetables and flowers.
Visitors often come and sit on the carved wooden benches in the front garden where, among fruit trees, we have a beautiful rock inscribed “Cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you”.
As well as occasional open air church services, we hold at least two garden parties each summer, with children’s games, lives music and an endless supply of tea and cakes, attended by a good cross section of our very diverse local community.
