Gilly’s Quiet Garden opened in 2012. A middle-sized garden with space for around 10 people to have individual space without overcrowding, the garden has inviting benches positioned all around. It has been described as ‘a haven of peace’ despite being situated between a main road and a railway track. A summer house, affectionately known as ‘the chapel’, is at the top of the garden, offering a quiet space all of its own.
Visitor information
Booking for quiet days is essential; the garden is also open for specific groups by arrangement; and the 'chapel' space is available for individual use by appointment, with refreshments provided if desired.
Opening times
Quiet Garden Days are held roughly twice a month, with light lunch and drinks provided. The garden remains open throughout the year as there is plenty of space within the house on inclement days.
