Hitchcock Memorial Garden
Place of worship in Nebraska - USA
St. Augustine’s Quite Garden is named in honor of Gilbert M. & Martha H. Hitchcock
Name: Jim Keepers
The south and south east side of garden has a number of garden berms maintained by church volunteers. A sidewalk runs through this section of the garden and allows those who have limited walking ability to view all the different berms and enjoy the various trees as they go through their seasonal changes.
Major changes are taking place on the north and north east side of the garden because of the construction of a new church hall. New trees have been planted to replace those removed because of construction and a Bioretention Garden has been created with wildflowers and grasses. A children’s pumpkin garden will be planted in this area in the spring of 2023.
The garden is just off of the church’s main and street parking lots. There is no charge for parking or garden entrance fee.
The garden is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk all year long.
