The church was designed by Walter Brierley, built in brick in an art deco style. The garden has benches and a summer house (shelter) in one corner; providing places for quiet reflection, sitting in the sun or meeting friends. There are plans to add more flowers and shrubs around the shelter. The garden will also help to enhance the space for contemplation and celebration in the worship at St Chad’s.
