Runcton

Runcton Manor is a few miles from Chichester; its 6.5 acres of lawn, gardens, river, orchard and woodland, Runcton Manor is a great place to unwind and recuperate.

Visitor information

Arrive between 10.45 and 11.00 am. At 11.00 am we begin with around 20-30 minutes of meditation. After this people are free to walk or meditate in the 7 acres of garden, use the labyrinth, read books in the library or paint or draw. We sometimes choose a theme or questions for reflection, though people are welcome to follow their own inclinations if they so wish. Tea and coffee is available. We finish with 10 minutes in which people are free to share (or not) any thoughts or reflections they have had.

Opening times

We offer a Quiet Garden morning the third Wednesday of each month from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm, excluding August, December and January.

Directions

By Bus: Take the 60 bus from Chichester or Bognor Regis and get out at the Walnut Tree pub, Runcton.

By car: Go to the roundabout by the Walnut Tree pub, where Lagness Road (B2166) intersects with the Vinnetrow Road.

By bus or car: From the roundabout go south down Mill Road towards South Mundham. After 100 yards ignore the road (Saltham Lane) which comes in on your left. Immediately after that Mill Road crosses a small stream becomes Runcton Lane, and there are two white gateposts on the left one marked ‘Runcton Manor’. Go through the gateposts and along the the drive and over the small bridge. Park outside the main house – please avoid parking outside the converted stable on the left. Then go up the steps to the entrance of the main house where (hopefully) we will be waiting.
