Part of the garden is in the ruins of 5 Almshouse which were demolished in1957. Part is through the original West doorway leading to a small garden are containing a secluded Arbour, and facilities for Volunteers. There are 5 remaining Almshouses, 3 are designated as Artists venues, 1 has Historical Information, 1 is a small Shop St Margaret's Chapel and the garden are open together. Volunteers are on duty a often as possible, otherwise it is open access without supervision. All free of charge.Garden opening:
- March - November open daily 10.00am - 4.00pm
- November - March Sturday and Sunday only 11.00 - 3.00 pm
