Abbotsford Garden is a peaceful, urban cottage garden, off the road, with parking. It has a small pond, a rockery, lawn, trees and flowers, seating and other features plus a self-contained Quiet Room with facilities for making drinks. The garden and Quiet Room offer a retreat from the busyness of life, a place to relax and an opportunity to experience healing in body mind and spirit. A time to be open to God, to listen in stillness, enjoy the garden and watch the butterflies, dragonflies and other wild life.
Visitor information
Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and homemade cake are served at the end of each day.
Opening times
Open to God Days are led with worship and meditation and plenty of space to enjoy the garden. Tuesdays: 6th June, 11th July, 8th August, 6th September. 10am – 4 pm.
Quiet Days provide a quiet space for individual prayer and reflection. Meditation leaflets to guide your thoughts are available if you wish to use them. There may be Celtic Evening Worship to end the day. Wednesdays: 7th June, 12th July, 9th August, 6th September. 10am – 4 pm
Other days including Saturdays, can sometimes be offered on request. Please enquire.
